This week marks the 74th anniversary of the nuclear attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. At 8.15am on August 6, 1945, the city of Hiroshima was destroyed with an atomic bomb.

Tuesday 7th August The Martyrs of Lancaster Following the 12.15 Mass for this Diocesan feast there will be a procession up East Rd to the Martyrs Memorial stone (near the entrance to Williamson Park). A brief prayer service will be held there, and a car lift will be available from the Cathedral for those who would find the walk difficult. Everyone encouraged to join in. Fr Steve.
