Dedication of the Cathedral. This annual feast day is observed through out the Diocese on October 5th but for us as the Cathedral community we celebrate it on the Sunday nearest the 5th and with our Bishop. Bishop Paul will be with us at the 10:30 Mass and mark the feast, reminding us that we, the local church of Lancaster, symbolised by this Cathedral building are part of the Universal (Catholic) Church which was founded by Christ. Even during challenging times the Church is striving on her pilgrim way to live out this call to be the harbinger of the Gospel and bring people into discipleship with Christ. One of our story of St Peter windows in the Cathedral shows our St Peter’s Cathedral alongside. St Peter, Pray For Us.
