Cathedral Church of St Peter and St Thomas More’s Church.

Published: 23 December 2020

All the available seating for our Christmas Masses is now taken. Our capacities in both our churches are greatly reduced because of necessary Covid regulations.

We can no longer accept emails trying to arrange tickets for Christmas Masses. Why not come to Mass on a day during the Christmas season?

Regrettably, again,  there is no room at the Inn!

Keep Safe.

A Happy and Holy Christmas Season to one and all.

Fr Stephen

Cathedral Dean.

Former parishioner James Walton announced winner of the BBC Radio 3 Christmas Carol Competition 2020

Published: 20 December 2020

Back in September, Radio 3 challenged listeners to come up with a cracking new tune for the words of Paul Laurence Dunbar’s poem, Christmas Carol. The competition was judged blind by an expert panel of judges, who whittled over a thousand entries down to a shortlist of just six. Congratulations James!

Cathedral Primary School Nativity Play and Reflection

Published: 19 December 2020

Due to covid restrictions, our primary school couldn't present their usual Key Stage One Nativity play in the Cathedral so instead it was filmed in sections in school:

Children in Key Stage 2 have prepared a series of reflections on different parts of the Christmas story.

Staff, governors and families wish all parishioners a happy and blessed Christmas.
